what's new

Here are the latest pictures of the kids. There are some of Halloween and some from the backyard. The others are just misc. pictures. For Halloween Paige was Blue from Blue's Clues and Ethan was a Crocodile.

Paige went to the dentist for the first time today. She did well after Jim came in with her. I was not cuttin' it apparently, but he got her calmed down and she did fine.

catnaps and big butts

Things have been going well for us. I have to be honest and say I have been so completely exhausted. I try not to complain but lets not kid ourselves anymore. It's our third kid and I am a small woman and I get absolutely huge when I am pregnant. There is no getting around it. And now chasing after Paige and Ethan, who, if you know my kids, are very active kids.

I have my 20 week ultrasound on Monday. We are not finding out the sex of the baby this time around. We've decided for it to be a surprise.

I have to tell you, as I write this I had Paige sitting in the chair with me and she wanted to get down so I stood up and let her down and as she passed behind me she said "Your butt is really big." Ouch. I'm not going to say that doesn't hurt a little, even coming from my 3 year old.

I've been trying to find things to do with the kids now that it is getting cooler out. We've already raked the yard about 30 times this week. There isn't much to do in our small town. There are about 20 parks in Tecumseh, but all of them say "this play area designed for children 5-12 years". What is that all about! People, people. Come on now. This pregnant mama needs somewhere to let her kids run free and not have to follow them up and down the ladders and slides and what not.

Nothing else is really going on. I really need some friends. Whenever I get around adults all i talk about it Dora or poop and then they look at me like I'm a reject because I don't have any real social skills with anyone above 3. Other than that life is grand. Well, accept, apparently i need to start doing some squats.

Us

Well, it's been awhile. I thought i would update everyone on our lives. We are going to be welcoming a new baby Koepfle in the beginning of March. My due date is the 5th, but my Doctor joked that since my kids are always late I should tell everyone the 12th.

Paige and Ethan are doing great. Ethan gets into everything and eats everything! Even as I wrote that he started eating chalk. Paige is really into her baby dolls and finger painting.

Jim got transfered to Dearborn Truck. So we are trying to decide if and when to move closer. It's between an hour to an hour and a half drive each way every day so we'd like to move closer, but of course love our current house so...we'll see.

Here's Ethan on his first birthday, May 10th.

no screaming

The kids are getting bigger and the house is getting warmer. Our furnace broke on the coldest day of the year. It was -2 and with the windchill it was -28 degrees. We luckily got a guy to come out that day and he fixed it and it turns out it hasn't worked like it should the whole time we've been in the house so now it really is warm. It's wonderful! The kids are getting bigger. Ethan just turned 9 months and is walking. Paige is getting really jelous of all the attention ethan gets now that he's started to walk. She loves to sing and dance. She really loves toddler time at local inflatables place in town where they have about 4-5 big moonwalks with obstacle cources and slides. She's definatly a ham. She loves to make silly faces and get a reaction from people. Ethan is shy and loves when the ladies smile at him. Both of our kids enjoy screaming. They think it's funny. Especially Ethan. He loves to hear himself scream and then he laughs when you tell him not to.
