Caught

Samantha got ahold of the camera. This is what I found today. Lol. Today was good. The kids and I sat with our friends the Kubaleks during Sacrament Meeting. It was nice. My kids are normally pretty good. They sit stil well and are well mannered (most days). But they also have their moments, so when they begged to sit with their friends I was worried there might be too much chatter. They were awesome. Paige sat very reverently next to her friend Calumet, Ethan and McCarty read books quietly to each other and colored  and Samantha pretty much just chilled. It was nice. I was actually able to listen to the talks all the way through. I only had to ask Ethan to whisper a few times.     Samantha also gave a talk in primary. She spoke about being a good example of helping those around her. She was adorable. She got to use a microphone and everything. I helped her say her short talk and then she sat down. Adorable. Now all the kids are snuggled in bed with Jim watching Ratatouille since there is no school tomorrow. To bad I have to search for more jobs tomorrow. Boo hiss. Ce La Vie.

For some reason Saturday didn't go through

Ice carving fun downtown

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to rotate this picture. Ha! Anywho. Our town does this fun thing every year where they have ice sculptors in downtown that carve either fun things or the names of stores in town. They have a chocolate walk and dueling carvers and some of the local stores offer free cider. I haven't ever really walk downtown and into the cute stores. We've been here 6 years. Can you believe it. I guess I've always just thought it was useless when I had little kids that would probably break things. There are some cute stores though. Expensive for someone like me, but cute. And some very nice people. The kids loved this. We went last year too. This year a guy carved sponge bob. We watched him do the beginning of it. He started with a big block of yellow ice. he then asked what the kids thought it was going to end up being, Samantha yelled out, "Frankenstein!". The guy laughed and said she was pretty close. He then told them it was spongebob. Lol.

MRI

Samantha and I accompanied Jim to get his MRI done today. While he was in getting it we drive down the street and walked around Sears. I was a little nervous because we were in Allen Park out by Dearborn and it looked really run down but it want so bad. The highlight for Sam was that they had an escalater (i know i spelled that wrong). We went up and down 3 times. We also say on lawn tractors and checked out girls clothes. Her favorite part was the "disney" area with lots of princess and minnie mouse items. She kept asking if she could have things and I told her no, but I world look at things for her birthday, then the next time we walked up to some hello kitty chapstick cases she closed her eyes and said,"I won't look, go ahead and get something for my birthday." Ha!

Trying

I downloaded an app to my phone from blogger and I am hoping that it well help me update more. I am going to try to post a picture every day with a little sniplet from the day. Let's hope it doesn't get too real up in here. Life is a struggle right now. Jim got put on disability a week ago from his job because of his shoulders. His pay is basically nothing each week now so I have been applying to every job I can find. He'll have surgery next week probably on his right arm and we're still waiting to hear how the MRI went today on his left. Fingers crossed they find something. I know, weird, right?  But if they don't find something then we think they'll fire him because they'll claim nothing is wrong with his shoulder. We want them to have to pay for surgery. Everything is up in the air. We only have insurance for 11 weeks as of right now. I am hoping that Meijer in Adrian will call me next week and hire me so then I could work my schedule around Jims surgery/ recovery/ schedule when he goes back to work since sam is still at home and the kids will be off in 6 months for summer. The plan is to work and work and if all goes well I would love to start my own at home day care by the beginning of this next school year. Fingers crossed. Prayers please.
