Figubees-Jujuba

Jim got a game for Christmas and when the guys fight they talk. It sounds like they say figubee's jujuba. I laugh so hard every time i hear it. I wish real people would yell that when they fight. Might make life a little more interesting.

On a different note, i wanted to share my funny story with you.
Samantha took off her diaper when she was in the basement and she peed. (that's not the funny part). Paige yelled upstairs for us and I ran down. I yelled up to Jim to throw me a towell. I walked around the corner, look up and WAM!!! I got smacked right in the face as hard as i could possibly have been hit with the towell. It had been folded and was nice and compact. I stumbled back and almost fell, i got hit so hard. I saw stars for a minute, but couldn't stop laughing. It was hilarious. jim's like,"you told me to throw it down, i didn't think you would be standing there, waiting for it." Ha! i still laugh so hard i cry. Funny times.

Value World...

Value World, oh Value World. How I love thee so....

Paige and I had my Coupon!! 50% of the entire purchase. Every year. This is my 4th year doing it. I save and save and wake up early to be the first in line, then i start at one end of the kids clothes wall, stacked 3 hanging rods high, and make my way down to the end. Two shopping carts piled so high i could barely contain them and we set off to pay. 75 dollars and 6 huge black trash bags filled to there breaking point later, we headed home.

I normally go by myself. But i though Paige was old enough that this would be her year. Gotta teach 'em young.

gas to get there: probably a couple bucks
enough clothes for a year and a half: 75 dollars
spending time with Paige and teaching her the value of a dollar: priceless

Oh, what a night

We got ding dong ditched and it was very exciting. This is how it went (easier to do it this way)

DING DONG

Heather: I have my pajama's on, you get it while i run in the bedroom and change
Jim: just get the door

I open the door, no one is there. I step out and look all around..no one. I then see a plate with a bow on the porch. I pick it up and it says Ho Ho Ho on it.

I come inside and say "we have a Secret Santa."

Jim says, " Really, you didn't see anyone?'

Ethan, who's in the bathroom and just barely hears what i said, runs out with his undies and pants around his ankles and yells, "I missed Santa?! Was that Santa?!"

I then tell the kids what I mean, Jim goes outside and looks around for a sec because he can't believe that someone could have gotten away so fast.

Result to the whole night:
*Yummy cookies
* Jim thinking that they parked on the side street next to our neighbors
*Ethan giving us all a peep show
*Feeling a lot more in the Christmas spirit

Thanks whoever you are, from us. We love you and appreciate your generosity

More videos

Some videos

These are some of my favorite video's of Paige and Ethan:
This is the reason it was so easy going from 1 to 2 kids. Paige was a huge help. She LOVE's Ethan.

Almost Done

For a couple years now I have been saving old Jeans that may have holes and what not. I've gotten some from other people as well.
Last year I was organizing the basement and found then all, and decided to start on a nice jean blanket for out bed. We have a nice big King size one so I cut out a LOT of squares. I got about 70% of it done and then.......nothing. I guess I got busy or maybe it's my ADD and I just couldn't focus on it anymore. Maybe got a little bored. Well, I found it yesterday and finished up all the jean part of it! All I have left to do is get a big thing of fabric to go on the back, sew it on and it will be done! Very exciting. Paige was helping me pin it today and I had it layed out on the floor. She decided to get under it and almost couldn't get out because it was so huge and heavy. Lol. Maybe I should post a warning label on it, just to be safe. It should keep us all nice and toasty this winter (I say us all, b/c the kids come into bed almost every night now . Somewhere between 5:00 and 6:30 they are all snuggled and sticking their feet in our backs)
Pictures will be posted when it is all done, don't you worry. (I know you are all waiting in anticipation) (I know I'm pathetically excited about a blanket, just humor me here.)

Holy Crap, It's Cold

Is it way colder this year?
Is anyone with me here?
I think it's way colder.
Maybe it's the wind that hit my parked car so hard i thought i had been hit by an actual vehical from behind.
Or the wind that I thought was actually going to lift me off my feet and have me flying past cars, like the cow in "Twister"
Or (last or..i promise) it's the wind ( or as Paige call's it ..the "breeze") that sounds like a steam boat about to hit the house because of the 1960's metal awnings on the side of the house.
Just a thought.
Makes me want to hunker down with a big bowl of steaming soup, a good book and some hot cocoa.

hhmmm

Can you hear that tune?

Paige learned to whistle! She is very excited. It started a couple weeks ago with her asking Mommy how to do it, me showing her a million times, her trying, mommy getting frustrated b/c she was insitant that she learn in one night.. Then nothing for a few weeks. Then two nights ago everyone is in bed. I'm sitting on the couch watching a scary show and i hear a faint whistleing in the distance. I mute the show, say a little prayer that it's not what is floating around in my head scaring me, and say (In my fake 'i'm not freaked out' voice".."Who's that whisteling?" I hear an enthusiastic : "It's me mom, I learned how!"
How cute is that? She's gotten very good at it and will do it for anyone that asks! I am very proud of her.
