animals

I made these felt animals for my nephew zaden. He'll be 6 months on christmas eve. I put a plastic easter egg with a couple bells in them, inside the animals so they jingle. I hope he likes them!

christmas is coming.

Samantha decided to dress up the other day for santa. I had to explain that it was a little to early for that, but she did it anyway. Shes got her dora hat, her purse and her glass slippers. Cute as can be. She's been waiting everyday for christmas. I think that this year is going to be really fun with her. She actually gets into opening presents now. There are a lot more pictures to come.

I put Chapsticks on my kids when they sleep

I do, It's the truth. I put chapstick on my kids when they are asleep. They get really dry lips and horribly chapped if I don't. Samantha and Ethan have been fighting me lately about applying it during the day so the lips on these children have become very chapped, so i have started my winter ritual of chapsticking it up while they sleep. Sam's is so bad that it woke her up last night from the pain, but i will continue to do it every night until they are better. When they were babies I would cut their nails while slept, it always made it a lot easier. So, bring it on winter. The Koepfle's are chapsticked and ready to roll.

colors

I am making candle holder blocks that say "family" and "love" and "winter" and a few others. I can't figure out what I want to paint the winter ones. they are a 3 and a half by 3 and a half square block. I had thought about dark blue with white letters but I feel that might be too much blue and won't match peoples decor. I thought about doing black with white letters, but again, is it too muxh black? I need ideas. help!

Sorry for not blogging better lately. It just seems like I wake up, do a million plus 8 things and then, BAM, time for bed and I think...wait...what? Where did the day go?
I will try to update on life right now though.

I am feeling really bad about not posting a big thing for Paige's birthday (she just turned 6 a week ago), but i will do that soon. She had a great day that friday and saturday. (more info to come)

Ethan started Karate. He call's it Ninja Fighting. :) He was the cutest little boy ever! He LOVED it. I was worried, because Ethan is a very energetic boy and I was worried he wouldn't pay attention to the instructor, but he did. Like a pro. He Yelled when they wanted him to and even when they didn't, which was fine because they loved his enthusiasm. I started to cry after his class, he's just so adorable and he was so happy. I love my little man.

I am going to the doctor tomorrow to get my eye checked out. My whole life I have been able to blow air out of my eye socket. Not normal. I know. I can never go scuba diving (not that I could do that anyway, fear of sharks, the ocean, any deep water that's deeper than a kiddie pool....) because I can't equalize my ears or..something..:) It's never been a problem, until this week. My eye keeps twitching, and I can move my eye around (gross, sorry). I have been having bad migraines because of what's going on with my eye, so tomorrow we'll see. I'll let you know.

I have been extra busy lately b/c I have decided that this is the year that I actually do crafty crafts and make my house more inviting and fun. I have made a candy corn wreath, fun fall leaves on a branch, soon to be made halloween count down candy calendar's for each of the kids, and others TBA later. I have also been busy re-upholsetering the folding chairs; stripping, sanding, and staining...(and then doing some of that again after Samantha took rocks to them) to the new dining room chairs; organizing the basement; cleaning the garage and putting up summer stuff; re-painting Ethan's room and placing a trillion things on ebay, etsy and craigslist. Never a dull moment around here. I'm trying to get the house ready for winter, you know. Clear out clutter, make what clutter I keep organized at least. Ha! Plus, at night this week I have been watching "Jonas". I have my priorities. :)

Well,I need to change a diaper and go to bed. So that's it for tonight! Goodnight!

asthma

paige has been saying for weeks now that it is hard to breath at night and sometimes when playing. I hoped it was nothing, but alas, asthma. she is on breathing treatments for a month (twice a day) and then if that doesn't seem to be helping then to a pulminologist. if it seems to be making a difference then they keep her on it,but lower the amount and try to wean her off of it and give her an inhaler to keep in case she needs it and then just monitor it. the doctor said this sort of asthma,if taken care of, can hopefully be out grown by the age of 10 or so.

struggle

I have been steuggling lately to get things done. I start the day with the remaining things from my to do list from the day before and add 500 more throughout the day. the list is never ending. I am very forgetful, hence the list..but I sort of hate it. it taunts me. I fear it. I fear it will never get smaller. every time I start to do something on the list I get interuppted by ny adorable kids (mowing the backyard took an hour and a half). they atop me bc they want to play with me or need something. I get frustrated with them and that darn list. I finally took a breath today and helped ethan with a game he was playing and afterward he hugged me and said that he loved me. I need to remember what's most important. them. (just don't judge me if my house looks like a bomb went off in it . :-))

bla di da thoughts

I haven't blogged in a bit, sorry about that, all you 4people who read this and are either my family or I see you at church every sunday. lol. But it's been busy. I know it doesn't seem like it should, but getting a chance to sit at the computer for more that 38.2 seconds and actually type something has been harder than usual. The kids are bounceing off the walls.

I took the kids to Rolling Hills waterpark today. My brother-in-law invited us to go. It was him, his wife, their 2 little boys, (jace 3 and Zaden 2 months) and jim's cousin's Mike, Megan and Larry. I did well. Surprisingly well. It was a ton easier than i thought it was going to be. The kids stayed close and had a blast. I'm glad we went. I looked at the clock about an hour ago and sighed and Jim asked what was wrong and my response was, "It's only 8:30, to early to go to bed.....I'm tired." LOL. Waterparks take it out of you. A good take it out though.

I broke the mouse on my computer. It was an accident. Maybe i play to aggressively at farmville. Ha! Just kidding. I stepped on it..shh.. don't tell jim. I'm hoping I can get one before he notices.

I am almost done with my clothes line. Sorry for the delay, but I pooped out. The weather was too hot for a while. Now that it's getting cooler I am hopeing to get it up.

Those are my thoughts, sorry, jumbeled and i'm really tired. Hopefully they make sense. If not, just ignore this post and forget it ever happened and come back again soon.

Yogi Bear

We went to Yogi Bear Campground. It was soooo much fun. There are 3 big out door pools, 1 big indoor one and a big splash pad for kids. There are 6 playgrounds, a lake, a boat launch, constand kids activities and crafts and wagon ride and train ride..etc. I could go on and on. We stayed in a nice rustic cabin with 2 bunkbeds and a double bed. We will defiantly go a whole bunch more. Here are some of our pictures. There aren't a ton, I was to busy swimming, sorry.

Misc.

I have been meaning to post, but just don't have the energy. With Jim's work and never having a day off and only being awake in the evenings, I have to do everything, and at times feel like a single mom. I'm not complaining, I love feeling productive, just explaining why I am to tired to blog, and can't spell for the life of me..lol.

Anyhoo.

I first would like to say My brother in law and his wife had a beautiful baby boy Zaden yesterday. He is one cute kid. We all know I would love to have another baby, but Jim's not on the bandwagon, but I didn't think I would react the way I did at the sight of the babies in the Nursery. I had an actual, physical ache in my stomach. I know how stupid and cliche this sounds, but it's the truth, it was like my womb ached. lol. Dumb, I know. But there you have it. I am very happy for them, of course. He is a beaut! Paige would not put him down. I had to fight her for him. Samantha had her turn, loved him. Ethan wanted to hold him, got his picture taken, then handed him back. :) But Paige, every 2 seconds while I held him would say, "Come on, give him back." So I did, can't fight with a 5 year old. So she held him almost the whole time we were there, She even feed him with the bottle while I held him. (She's been changing Samantha's diapers lately too, I don't ask her too, I'll just find a diaper in the trash and a new one on Sam.) At lunch she said to Jim, "I want mommy to have another baby." LOL. I was laughing so hard...Someone should tell Jim, you can't fight with a 5 year old. Just do what she says! :)

In other news, I'm putting up a clothes line this week. Very excited. Can't wait to not do a ton of drying in the dryer. Hello saving energy!

We were looking at fish today and Paige asked if we were made out of fish skin. A few weeks ago she told Ethan fish were made out of ham. Ha! What a funny kid she is.

That's all I've got for now. Come back soon.

Getting Mommy

The kids thought it would be a lot of fun to get my soaking wet with buckets of water.
Paige about to get me.
As you can see from the date, this picture was taken upside down, because she was behind me soaking my bum.

Swimming

The kids have had so much fun in our pool this summer, so far. Ethan spends about 2 hours in it each day. Paige about an hour and Samantha a half hour (then she moves to the little pool). If he were allowed to, Ethan would spend ALL day in it and maybe set up a floating bed in it. Jim decided to jump in the other day and have some fun. Pardon all my laundry in the back ground. I do it all during the day, then fold it after the kids are in bed and I watch a show).

Baby kept dumping buckets on herself, laughing, then spitting.

Monday, June 07, 2010

I had my 10 year class reunion on Saturday (june 5th). I was really nervous about going. I was not popular in high school, I was a band geek, Although, if you ask anyone, band was cool in MY high school. (I always wondered how many people say that, but it's not really true. Of course, that's not the case here...)
It was at an Irish Pub called Conor O'Neills in downtown Ann Arbor. I was excited, but terrified. Jim was working that night, and would have been really bored anyway, so he didn't go with me. I made sure a couple of my facebook friends would be there and set off.
It started at 8:00 and was going till 2:00. I got there a little (fashionably) late, at 8:45. I would have left at 9:00 had it not been for my friend Andy. He was a good friend in high school and is like a brother. We get each other's humor and sarcasm and so we had a LOT of fun. We had two others that came and went in our group and then a lot of people stopped by to say hi to Andy, so were forced to mingle with me too! lol. But it was fun. Our friend Travis had a few to many and when he asked Andy to watch his drink while he went out to smoke, Andy stuck a chicken wing in his drink and swirled it around. When Travis came back and took a drink, he could tell something was wrong. He took a sip, got a weird look on his face, and then smelled it. Andy asked what was wrong and Travis said he wasn't sure. Andy said, "Does it taste like chicken?" As he took a big bite out of his chicken leg. We were laughing so hard. Latter on when I was leaving and my friend Shannon was going to walk out with me to use the bathroom, she asked Andy to watch her drink, she was a little nervous about trusting him,
he said "It's me or the back of the toilet."
Shannon said. "I better not find anything floating in there when I get back!"
Andy said: "Note to self, fish out any floaty's." :)

There were a tornado warning while we were there and when I left and got back the parking they wouldn't let us leave b/c of another one. The sirens were going off as I drove through town. Lot's of fun.

All in all, I'm glad I went. I was hoping more people would have gained weight (don't judge me, I already know I'm horrible) and I wish It would have been somewhere different so It wasn't so loud (we had to scream to the people next to us to be heard). But it was fun. I didn't leave till around 1:00 a.m.

(The guy behind me making funny faces is Andy. The girl in back is Shannon, the guy on the right is Chicken Beer Travis and the girl next to me is Alice.)
