act of kindness

The Bishop called last week to see if he could come and Home teach us but the kids have had the flu for about 2 weeks now, so I told him we would have to do it some other time. Later that night He and his son Andrew (12 yrs. old) came by and had brought cupcakes and a stuffed animal for each of the kids. It was so nice and the kids loved them. Paige got a bunny and Ethan and Samantha got bears. So thanks Bishop.

Good times had by all

I was thinking today about how important family is. I was talking to Paige about how, if anything were to happen to Jim or I and we needed help she should dial 911. She proceeded to tell me that she could get my cell phone and push either 2 for daddy, 4 for pappa or 5 for grandma and hit the green button. (I added 9 for 911 since this talk) How nice though to have family close by that could help. I have found some fun pics on my computer i'd like to post as well as write my thanks to all my family for the good times!

Little Photographer

So Paige has been taking our camera and spending all afternoon taking pictures. She loves taking pictures of her toys, her face, the fam..anything. Her and I were talking as I was writing that last post about Ethan and she asked if I could write one about her and put her pictures on here, so..here are some of her better shots. Well, and some funny ones that she has taken over the last year. I'll start with the most recent:

Pouty Face

Ethan has had the flu really bad. You don't want to know all the details, but it started on Thursday and is still going strong. Poor boy. He was fine on Sunday though and I couldn't miss church because I was teaching Sharing time for the little kids. So, since Samantha woke up throwing up, I had Jim stay home with her and I took Paige and Ethan with me. (I didn't send him to nursery, don't worry. He just sat up at the front of the room with me, away from kids) Anyway..I digress. My whole point here is that I was getting him and Paige ready and he was mad that he couldn't wear a dress. He's pretty tired of a dress shirt and dress pants, so he sat down on the bed in his little undies and pouted. He has the most adorable pouty face. See for yourself:

Look at this, not the snow

Elizabeth was commenting about not being a huge fan of the snow to come. I agree. So i have decided to post some fun pictures to look at instead of the snow. This first one of Paige in my old new kids on the block shirt:

A couple of us as kids, because we were cute:

i love these kids

Paige has become trouble. She has so much sass these days. She loves to pose and dance around. We had been watching the Suite Life of Zack and Cody and this girl was in a modeling shoot, so Paige wanted to to take pictures of her for fun like this girl was. She was laughing so hard in between each picture.

She was eating a donut and thought it would be funny to show us all what it looked like.

She loves to pose, so her her and Samantha are, looking cute

We have these headphones that hook on your ears and Ethan loves them. He always wants to have them on and listen to music. I think they look adorable on him and made him show them off to me one day.

Samantha has become a water baby. She swims around on her tummy in the bath and has so much fun. This is her the other day with banana aiding in her fabulous hairdo.

Rice Anyone?

Samantha has decided she likes rice. This, however is a very messy thing to give a baby. But how can I deny her this thing that she loves so much. Expecially when she looks so darn cute eating it.

I think I might secretly be a super hero

So, i'm walking over to pick Samantha up out of her high chair, when i feel something dripping on my hand. I look down, and to my suprise there is blood all over my hand and the whole top of my knuckle is ripped off! No joke! I have no idea how it happened or when it happened. No idea. Weird huh? I'm really weirded out by this. How come I didn't feel it? Very Strange. I'm thinking I might have hidden super human genes or something. Katherine and Elizabeth...is there some family secret I need to be told? now's the time to tell me, because this could really change how I do things in life from now on. No more people cut me off on the road....no more people critizing me if my kids don't have a jacket on, even though it's 70 degres out......no more mail coming at noon one day and 4:30 the next (what's up with that!?) Nope. No more pushing Heather around. I could take my rath upon them! That's a little much maybe, but I would totally be ok with this, i think.
